That was something 🤔
Spoilers ahead.
Annoyingly I accidentally spoiled myself reading Lay’s background story in some wiki page. That said, it wasn’t much beyond he being Kanon and did something with Avos. This episode confirmed what I read and thankfully I didn’t read much beyond that so I’m still looking forward to the full story.
The writer sure did a good job misleading people into believing Lay being Anos’ former subordinate.
Next episode will be the last one and I have no idea how they’re going to close it. Stopping Kanon might not be too difficult but the whole human vs demon war that has been started doesn’t seem like something that can be ended as easily. Maybe another season? (or perhaps just telling people to read the LN)
