This one is damn fail.

I don’t know, there’re only TWO ‘widescreen’ version of this in Tokyo Toshokan (using keyword ‘ikkitousen’). And I suspect the other one’s uploader is the same as this one. The rest are 4:3 (at least the ones that have resolution information in the filename).

and this one’s correct resolution should be 4:3 or 960×720 or sth like that

what’s more, it’s 30fps (PAL?)

  • Danbooru 1.14.0 has released. I still wonder what “Final tagged version” means. And I think I’ll use tagged ones instead of trunk from now on. Why? Just because. 😛
  • ^– actually, it means less maintenance.
  • With that, I’ll also stop using -current for animu server o.o
  • Not before 4.4 released though – which means I’ll have to struggle with -current until November – or until I switch to NetBSD. The reason is simple: Danbooru requires PostgreSQL 8.3 which only available as package on -current (I forced to manually compile before using -current). – Or maybe until I switch to Shimmie (which sucks).

I just realized that there’s this animu titled “Mission-E” that’s going to be broadcasted this summer.

Sounds familiar, I checked on wikipedia and found that it really is what I thought o_O

Yea, it’s a sequel to Code-E (lol obvious).

I think I need to finish watching the first season after all…

I just continued reading Naruto (LOL) up to chapter 401…

And the first thing I noticed is that there are TOO MANY freakin colored/vectored/etc pages packed in a chapter! 👿

Average files on a chapter increased up to 2x or more… (that is, about 20 pages actual chapter accompanied with 20 pages colored/vectored/etc arts).

FAIL

DVD source is serious business

I just saw two fails from DVD source releases:

  • Certain group doing DVD release of Rental Magica: apparently not taking extra care in IVTC process which results in not smooth playback on opening part which I suspect, about 30fps while they smartly decimate them at 24fps. Note that this might be inaccurate but I kinda trust this is the case.
  • Certain other group doing DVD release of StrikerS: 896×504 for its resolution… I don’t know where they made the number up. And it’s not even mod16. Good that they’re apparently doing all-softsubs release. (and use another group’s translations… hmm right.)

Moral of the story: take extra care when doing DVD source encodes.

A few days ago, I have to wait someone for one hour. And since I’ve got nothing to do, I go checking my old account at MonstersGame. Fetch graveyard loot, challenge the ancestral (and win). Then saw that there’s new version of it but not yet applied to all servers – and – a new game (or maybe not so new, but at least it’s still only has one world).

Tales of Magician. Got curious and played for the lulz.

Here are some differences with MonsterGame, Knight Fight, and some other games from RedMoon Studios:

  • Stats gained from level: no more buying stat with ingame money. Which means it’ll be much more balanced and characters will have same total stats on same level.
  • Diversity: more attack variations (that is, spells). Unlike MonstersGame, where there’s no attack variation, or KnightFight / TechWarrior, where only two choices: full def / full atk (in case of KF), or energy / physical (in case of TW) – in ToM, one can choose either focus in one element tree, or divide on two, three, or more element tree.
  • Items: well, the items are much more expensive (and money is harder to gain) – but there are less dependency on items in this game: weaponry doesn’t directly add damages, it adds up in percentage.
  • Faster to level up: Now I can level up much faster thanks to the fact that if I fight against higher level I’ll get five(!) times more experience compared to when fighting against same/lower level. Level 6 in 2 days wasn’t possible in any games before (it actually possible if you’re willing to gimp your character thanks to the need of money to raise stats – but since raising stats doesn’t use money in this game, whatever LOL)
  • Faster and less discrimination: 10 minutes attack delay and 90 minutes free exp compared to 15 minutes attack delay and 60 minutes free exp from other games

Well, that’s it. I’ll try this for few more days just for the lulz. 😀

Also tried Ikariam. This one is city building. Not going to tell you anything else though as I R LAZY. 😀
