Three months have (almost) passed, which means the contract for webhost I use almost runs out. Luckily I discovered this cheap VPS (thanks to LowEndBox) which accepts bank transfer as payment method.
Installed lots of things I did, and here I moved this blog. Powered by FreeBSD (woohoo), nginx and php-fpm. The RAM is a little bit small (256 MB) which means this site probably not as responsive as it used to be. Or maybe not. Tell me if you noticed any slowdowns!
Or maybe I should have chosen that Xen HVM option…
On other note, the DNS is provided by Free DNS. They’re so awesome, you should try it if you need managed (and redundant) DNS with IPv6 and DDNS support.

So, I recently subscribed to one of the cheapest cable Internet in nation (IDR 214k/mo for 1 Mbps unlimited). The connection is stable and I get one public IP (woohoo). Downlink is relatively good at 700-1000 kbps all time (unlike that crappy Smart EVDO which most of time gave me 100 kbps probably because of my room’s location) though the uplink is not as good at just ~100 kbps. As such, it’s just logical for me to set up a dedicated torrent box since half of my day is spent at office so I can download things while working.
Well, looks like I can’t keep it consistent. Hopefully this one is the last one. Now animeBSD, the epic random something which resembles blog, got another address:
The main reason is I want to only take care of one blog. Well, there was only two (old one and previous one) but actually I planned to split the previous one to several blog by using WordPress multisite feature.
After several months though, it turns out using multisite is just like slowly killing yourself with poison. It’s useful for creating blog with many users but for one-man blog, it’s the worst thing to manage. Not to mention the ugly htaccess involved.
In the end, I decided it’s not worth the effort to split site. So here it is, united under one name again (no more Network.myconan!) and everything will be here. Including my posts at wordpress.com thanks to the cool WP Importer tool provided.
The import process wasn’t smooth for posts at blog.myconan.net and there’re crapload of broken links. I’ll fix them as soon as I can™. Until then, update your bookmarks!
Oh and I’ll use myconan.net for some other purposes. Mostly private thing and IPv6 thingy. static.myconan.net will still intact though and not going to be removed.
Update: added redirection on blog.myconan.net to ease handling of migration. Most images should be up again now.

Predictable, yes. But hey, I have no problem watching stuffs I like repeatedly. Especially if it’s subtly different. It’s like reading various Adachi Mitsuru’s work – mostly same but reading each of them still gives its own enjoyment. Or so I heard.
Um, yeah. Simply saying, this series is awesome. I guess, sometime, such crazy combination of minds can actually work.

Well, I must say it’s an interesting way for a seinen-targeted Mahou Shoujo series. Gen Urobuchi delivers, I guess.
The art is quite unique (for anime), I guess
Another week passed without warning (?). With me just recovered, I have a bit problem catching up my backlog which has grown quite long (I mean, looooooooooooooong).
The second tier-1 anime this season in my list. Gosick – animated by Bones – the company which produced many great anime (no, Heroman isn’t one of them. Even though it’s targeted for kids, it’s still not a reason to keep all the casts using same clothes for entire series).
Second title I watched this season: animated by J.C. Staff – Dream Eater Merry (Yumekui Merry).
So, everything (except story) is just as expected.
With moved hosting, comes again the image upload (since I can actually set memory limit)
After watching this, I sure reminded of how good it was. At least before the wave of trolls executed by KyoAni and inflicted mental(?) damage(s) to some of its fans.

Er, in meantime, Nanoha Movie 1st has been released. Go watch it if you haven’t yet. I haven’t myself(!) but it is awesome.
I’ve been catching up with my shitload of unread manga today so I didn’t watch enough today. Add the fact that my connection is kind of broken or whatever to the point I had to work around it (which turned out well but late).
On other news, this season will be ended in 4 weeks or so. It’s, IMO, one of the best season, especially for moefags. It’s killing me though, with lots of series broadcasted (or available) at Friday-Sunday – which means I have to download many things using this crappy internet.
Skimming on next season’s titles, looks like I’ll be following at least Madoka Magica, Gosick and another (or all) moeblob series as usual and whatever I find amusing.
…owait, it’s easier to list series I probably not going to follow:
